Food Pantry
For more than 20 years, our church has run a food pantry in the Parish House, providing food and cleaning products to anyone in need — no questions asked. This is one of the core ways we feed our neighbors with compassion and respect.
The food pantry is located in our Parish House at 44 Post Rd, Greenland. It's open on Wednesdays 10AM-12PM and on Saturdays 10AM-1PM.
Anyone in need is welcome — no questions asked. You do not need to be a church member; you don’t have to live in Greenland.
There are many ways to get involved: donate non-perishable foods or cleaning supplies, make a financial gift, help organize or participate in a food drive, or volunteer to run the pantry on a weekly, monthly, or on-call basis. Email us at greenlanducc@fairpoint.net to sign up.
Renegade Quilters
A welcoming quilting group that gathers at the Parish House to learn new quilting blocks and techniques together. Quilts made by the group have been donated to the local police department and given as comfort quilts to friends and families of the church — a tangible reminder that they are loved.
We gather most months on the 3rd Tuesday, 9:30 AM - 12 PM, at the Parish House, 44 Post Rd, Greenland.
Not at all! Non-quilters, beginners, and experienced quilters are all equally welcome. Interest is all you need.

Seacoast Family Promise
We are proud to be one of the founders of Seacoast Family Promise (SFP), a shelter for unhoused families. We continue to be actively involved in helping families, regularly collaborating with other churches and civic groups to provide meals and meet other needs as they arise.
We rotate with other partner organizations; our turn comes around every 6–8 weeks providing meals.
You can volunteer with others to prepare meals for 10–20 people during our rotation, donate requested items like school supplies, snacks, and paper goods, or participate in special drives when they come up. Email greenlanducc@fairpoint.net to get on the list.
Allan Lurvey Memorial Seacoast Area CROP Hunger Walk
Each year, members of our church join other UCC congregations across the Seacoast for the annual Walk for Hunger. Funds raised go toward fighting hunger both locally and globally. It's a community event that makes a real difference.
The CROP Hunger Walk is held once a year, normally in mid-October. Watch our bulletin and announcements for the exact date each fall.
You can sign up to walk. Collect donations from friends and family. But if you want more involvement in this Seacoast Area organization which brings together volunteers from multiple communities to organize the event, inquire at the church office.
Welcome Home — immigration resettlement
Through our partnership with the International Institute of New England (IINE), we help welcome newly arrived immigrants as they begin their lives here. IINE provides housing and household goods; we prepare the apartments by cleaning, organizing, and setting them up so they feel like home from day one. This is our way of welcoming the stranger.
This ad hoc ministry has undergone a marked change with the current changes in immigration procedures. Opportunities continue to arise as new families are placed, but contact us for more information if you're interested.

Community Gatherings and Partnerships
While the Parish House is owned by the church and is home to our church offices, church and community activities are held here. The Parish House is available for rent for private events.

Coffee Shop
Wednesdays 10AM - 12PM, at the Parish House. Come for coffee, tea, something to eat -- and maybe a friendly chat with neighbors. Free, but donations in any amount are gladly accepted.
