Jesus’ teachings and sayings are sometimes just too hard to accept.  It’s those times when we feel abandoned, just like Scarlett O’Hara did in Gone With The Wind when she says, “Where shall I go?  What Shall I do?”

We might find comfort in the fact that the first disciples went through this same problem with Jesus at Capernaum, and many left him rather than try and understand and abide in God’s love in a new way they could not, and did not want to, understand.  Read on and see how Peter responds; it’s not a storybook ending, but it’s an honest answer that you and I might say too in those same circumstances.  Now that’s a God and a group of people who understand me.
