We all love the story of the Annunciation.  But it probably brought with it a lot of trepidation of real-world consequences, to an unwed teen mother who is accepting of her fate but also running for her life.   So, as we hear Mary’s Magnificat in scripture today, let’s remember the circumstances surrounding her praise, and what got her there, put her there, and where she will go from here?  How do we trust God’s purpose and fulfillment of promises while engaging in this world?
